What career are you in?

There was a similar thread over in the 3G TL forums so I figure we might as well start one here. What type of job/who do you work for that allowed you to buy/lease your RL. On a side note - damn this is one hell of a fun car to drive

Good idea, but what would your job be??

What ages would everyone be? I know Acura is aiming for a younger target audience with the RL.

Doh. I suppose it would have helped if I had said what I do. Also, the age thing most people have under their name, but is a good idea.

Primarily I am a student at UMich (No, mommy and daddy do not buy my cars... man I wish)
I teach at a local high school as well as IT work for a few local small businesses.

Just to clarify now - I can afford the RL ONLY because I live with parents and they pay my tuition at UMich. Otherwise, I would be screwed.

The RL did a good job at getting the younger audience I am half the age of some of you.

I work as a consultant for IBM and then work as a manger for Kinkead's restuarant in DC part-time, just to kill some time and have fun with a job. I always have side jobs that are fun and make damn good money. I'm 24 and people think I'm crazy for owning a car that's almost $50k, but if you can do it, why not? Going to be working even more now since I just bought a condo yesterday....yikes!

Own:
2005 RL

Looking into purchasing:
1993 Lexus SC with 100,000 miles for dirt cheap

Retired dentist. Own 2005 RL and my wife drives a 99 CRV because I've been waiting for the RDX (she doesn't want an MDX because she thinks that it's too big). Tried to buy her a RX330 but she is as loyal to Honda as I am (probably why I married her) .

RX330 is very nice, but I can imagine the RDX will be sweet as well.

I retired in 2001. I worked really hard, saved my pennies and invested wisely. I've avoided unproductive debt - ie. never had a mortgage and never financed a car. I got lucky starting some businesses in addition to my dental practice which did really well. My is that retiring has less to do with how much you earn as it does with how much you spend (and how much your wife spends).

I know a guy who retired at about 53 years old but had to go back to work because(in his exact words), "I quit working but my wife didn't quit shopping".

Eye surgeon who just traded awesome 2004 TL with Navi/MT/summer tires for the more awesome 2005 RL. Looks like at almost 60 I'm older than all the rest of you, but I think young!

I am 24 years-old. I enjoy long walks on the beach alone in the nude, eating raw fish I catch out of the ocean with my bare hands... oh, it's not that kind of a thread

By day, I am a management consultant in the health care IT industry. But by night, I am jack-of-all trades mechanic, personal trainer, PC technician, and self-defense instructor extraordinaire. Have tools. Will travel. Will work for food.
