Just got my windows tinted and had the guy who did it drop me off at home before he took the car back to his shop. Sometime between then (yesterday afternoon) and about one hour ago my CEL came on with a warning light that says "Check emissions system". I know the tint guy probably didn't have anything to do with it, but I asked him when he noticed the light. He originally said that the battery drained and he had to charge it. Then he called back and said that after he dropped me off he thinks the warning said something about the brake system.

What do I do? Should I just drive the car a few days and let the battery re-charge to see if it goes away?

I hate when a new addition to a car gets overshadowed by a problem!

 

Low battery can create all kinds of weird responses from the RL. As you said, give it a few days and see if the fully charged battery clears the CEL.
