My '06 RL came with the cargo net the previous owner opted for when buying the car new. Is this still useable if I get the trunk tray?

 

we installed a factory net and the clips attach to the chrome d-rings (for lack of a better word) on the floor that lift. It uses two if vertical and four if horizontal. If the trunk mat covers those you would need to cut holes in it to access them.

 

Are some of these options still available through the dealer? Where would I find a listing? A cargo net and tray would be nice to use instead of having groceries all over the trunk.

 

Yep, trunk tray is designed to be used with the cargo net.

 

Just an aside question... does the trunk tray come in Taupe or Beige? Or does it only come in Black?

Do you mean the cargo net? I've only seen it in black as well but the trunk tray is a grayish color to match the trunk itself..

 

I mean the trunk tray itself. When I look for that accessory online, they all say comes in black only. But I could have sworn I saw it in gray before. Can someone who has the trunk all-weather tray confirm whether it is black or gray?

Hmmm..all the ones I have seen listed online and in the dealer parts lookups are black (which might be yet another Canada thing).

Does anyone have pics of the gray one installed?

I just bought one of these trunk trays which arrived today and it is definitely black. Is it possible that Honda changed the color recently but kept the same part number??? Sounds kinda fishy to me, but I can't think of any other explanation.

 

What's the deal with the statement it doesn't fit totally flush?
