Vote for the RL
Sweet Cars: Best Looking Cars at AOL. What they say about the RL, under Luxury Cars:
2008 Acura RL
MSRP: $46,280 - $53,700
The flagship of the Acura brand, the RL sports stylish lines that are the finest in the Acura staple. Under the hood is a 3.5-liter 290-hp V6 engine, which is given a nice boost from the optional 5-speed SportShift transmission with Overdrive.
It's a tough battle, they've got it pitted against the new Caddy CTS and the M5, both of which I also like. I voted for the RL anyway.

Seeing the 3 pics side by side, the CTS and the 5 do have dramatic, eye catching style. But in my book, the RL is timeless and sophisticated. I like the proportions of the RL as well.
I cannot help think that in 5+ years the CTS and 5 styling will fall into 'what were they thinking', where the RL will be 'yep, still looks good'.

I voted for the RL.
That Cadillac is kind of fugly from that angle but apparently that and the Escalade
are right in line with American tastes. They showed the Beemer's best side (the front)--the Bangle-butt is not exactly easy on the eyes.

But it looks like domestic fanboys/girls are out in full force. The CTS is in the lead in the luxury category. But honestly, the M5 is by far...you know. Domestics lead in other categories as well. Buick Enclave (
) over the FX and the Mazda? Are you kidding me?

I voted for the RL, but our vehicle is way behind. I do like the M best as far as looks though. The Cadillac is way ahead in the voting? LOL, shills for the labor unions must be the frequent users of AOL. In fact, most of the domestic car makers are ahead in the voting.

).I mistakenly got your copy of Car & Driver in the mail today. The CTS-V is featured. I would tell you what it said, but the pages were stuck together.

C'mon....500 hp/500 lb-ft AND room for a baby seat? I'm wishing Acura had made the Mugen Legend with V8 available. I'd have stood in line for that.
I voted, and I hope not to start a flame war (not my intention) but AOL is typically for people who have no clue about the internet, etc. Its for the average Joe or teenager who wants email and internet service. So, yes, I think the aforementioned "domestic fanboys" are out in force.
Not to include the MDX in the SUV category is just dumb.

Put the RL, CTS, and M5 next to each other in 10 years and see which one has aged best. Sure the new CTS and M5 are edgy and modern but they are too much so. They won't age well as the RL most likely will.
