Volvo ads on our website

I give up, why are their Volvo ads on our website? Looks like we encourage visitors to buy Volvo and not Acura. No offense to Volvo, I have one of them also, but this is Acura territory.

I noticed a Volvo ad just below my post stating I'd never buy another Volvo. Interesting.

I run Firefox with Adblocker Plus. What are these "ads" of which you speak?

Those are Google ads, to which the admins subscribe to derive income for the site so that it stays free for users. That decision was made above my paygrade.

I'm afraid this is OT, too.

I know this post has been reported, so let address the issue here. First of all, there is nothing wrong with the post. However, this is totally off-topic and not an RL issue. If we allowed all off-topic posts to go in the wrong sections, the site would suffer and be very disorganized.

If you have not noticed, acurazine is organized into various forums and subforums. We cannot move this to the off-topic forums due to technical restraints, hence, it was closed.

Normally, all offtopic posts are closed but encouraged to be re-started in the
appropriate sections (if desired). This is not a censorship issue. If you have any more issues or questions, PM me.
