Valet wake up

Try this:
Go to a restaurant, park the car, lock it with the button on the door handle, give the valet key to the valet.
Eat.
Go to the valet and ask for the car.
The valet takes the valet key and unlocks the door, open the door and the alarm goes off. Wait 3 mins for silence. Wait another 10 minutes for the valet to work out how to insert the key. Walk to car, tip the poor valet guy and drive home.

Question: How many times do you have to do this until the novelty wears off?

The most compliments I get on the RL is from Valets. Last night the valet the the resturant I went to with my client, the valet hopped from the podium and said to the other valet 'I get the RL!'.

I chuckled and said 'Well thanks, but is is no BMW'. The valet replied 'Everyone has those, this car (my RL) is so rare & cool!'.

Ah...the wisdom of a valet. I was grinning ear to ear as I walked my client into the resturant. My client is a BMW driver!

Isn't the "valet key" for the RL actually the remote without the metal key? That's the only way you can truly secure the trunk and glovebox.

Even so, why would the alarm go off if the metal key was used to open a locked door?

That is so great.
As we have been sayomg, when people know about the RL, they love it, it is one of the best cars out there in it's category that no one knows about.
I drove my friends new Bently GT convertible, and I like the RL better, more power but I don't need it. RL brake feels is better, GT is too heavy, etc.. The leather was really nice though.

If I could just get the valet at hotels to stop parking it and not turning it all the way off... so then they have to figure out what's wrong, and jump start it... and I have to wait days while some moron figures out how to put a hot box on my car.....
