Two Questions from a new RL owner, please help

Hey everyone! Just bought an 05 White Crystal Pearl/Parchment RL and loving it. I do have two questions on it however...

1) Upon starting the vehicle with the HIDs on, just the right one moves to the right and back upon initialization, but it appears as both work when driving. Also when I pull into my driveway I do notice that when I turn the wheel to the right the right headlight moves with the wheel, but not left...is something wrong with my left one or is this just the way it works???

2) When I have the shifter in the "Drive" position, there is a small amount of wiggle room forward and backward. Is this normal as well?

I would greatly appreciate any input on these two matters!!! Thanks! Great to be part of the gang! Bearcat

1--This is normal as the left one doesn't move until the car is going 10 miles an hour or more. This is just a test of the active lighting system when the car starts.

2--I've never tried this but unless the car is popping out of gear, not staying in gear, or making noise/shuddering etc. then you probably don't have a problem. I will check mine at lunch to see if there is any play in the system.

Thanks for the quick reply on the headlights...a good piece of mind to know they are working fine...look forward to hear if you have a little play in the shifter. Thanks again.

Welcome to the forums.

1 and 2 are both normal. I remember my RL did the same for both.

That small amount of wiggle room is present in any location other than park.

Hi
The head light will not move due to avoiding blinding another driver when turning left such as an intersection. that is why you need 10 mph or better.
