Turbo RL?

Hey guys

The TL folks have made some amazing progress with turbo-charging and some members are past the 400 HP Mark! I just was wondering if any RL folks were giving it thought?

That's amazing but can you fill us into the approximate cost and gains so we don't have to read all 114 pages?

like i have said before this car would be insane with turbo. I will be putting turbo on mine in one year but not sure if its easier to swap out the motor and put the mdx turbo motor and ecu?

You mean RDX? That's a four cylinder... Not sure you want to do that on the RL

Wow, that thread. We seriously need Cliff's notes.

This is one of the reasons I like AZ so much. We have so many members with great imagination and technical prowess. I certainly would not have thought of turbo-ing a J35 or J37 engine.

Here is the kit being used for the 3G TL with its J35 engine. Our J35 is very similar so in theory it should work.

Bottom line: gain of 140 whp for automatics, costs in the neighborhood of $6k.

I've always thought of a RL as a non turbo GT-R with crappy brakes...

only thing I did was upgrade front brakes to GranSport 6 pads and did hurt my self quite a bit braking with the seat belt grabing on.

What you got?

I posted on here about them before they are custom made brake pads and custom slotted rotors. Wernt that much money but well worth it. Carbotech pads and centric premium rotors

not sure why nobody posted a link to the turbo kit...but here it is. 6k plus install and you can be making 300-400whp.

Question is...how would SH-AWD respond to that...
