Transmission fluid filter

Has anyone ever replaced the transmission fluid filter on a '05 RL? Reason I ask is because I did see a filter on Acura parts website and wondered if anyone has done this before. From the looks of it, it is located on the timing belt side which can't be right. It is #3 in the photo. Figure might as well change it especially if I am doing a 3X drain and refill over a 3 week span. Of course I will change #23 ring that goes on the end of the filter.

It is considered a non-maintenance part. I have not seen anyone here change it, but it has been discussed.

2. Remove the ATF pipe from the ATF filter cover, and remove the ATF filter (C) from the cover.
3. Clean the ATF filter, then check that it is in good condition and not clogged. Replace the ATF filter if it is
clogged or damaged.
4. Install the ATF filter with the new O-ring (D) in the filter cover, and install the ATF pipe in the cover,
then install them in the transmission housing.
5. Secure the ATF filter cover with the two bolts (E), then secure the ATF pipe with the bolt (F).

Thanks for that information. I will get it changed and report back my findings. At 210k, I will take my chances and change it.

That doesn't sound like a bad idea at 200k+. Are you doing it yourself? If so, could you take some pictures for us? This would be a new DIY.
