I have a 2006 RL with 82,000 miles when is the timing belt replacement due?

 

105k miles.

and actually, your RL will TELL you when it needs to be replaced by flashing a number 4 on the MID or on board computer.

7 years or 105k miles, you're overdue.

 

^Technically, yes, but his belt is very, very likely just fine.

 

I just did my 06 with about 112K. I had the local Honda dealer do it - and they did a great job - for half the price Acura quoted me.

 

I waited close to 10 years and 50k over the recommended point on my CL and the wear was noticeable, but for how far I went over that's what I would expect for the recommended interval

 

Just picked up a 2006 RL, 85,000 miles. This is the 5th Acura I have owned, the first being an '86 Legend purchased in the lobby of a motel (before the dealership was built).

Can't speak to the rewards of driving beyond the recommended mileage for a new timing belt. Can say that following spec. has provided the rewards of no problems whatsoever.
