Time to decide! What's an RL worth these days?

Lease on the civic is finally over. Had this car on lease during the gas crisis, what a blessing in disguise.
Now that the lease is over close to the end of May I have to start weighing out my options.
I'm strongly considering a 05-06 RL with 40K or less miles. I've been going at it with a few of the dealerships around Chicago. What is a good price for something that's certified used? My civic's payoff is $12500 right now and I want to try and get a dealer to buy that out as well to help offset tax on the new RL. What range in price should be looking for in a 05-06 RL that's certified. Color choice is Black/Black, CGP/Black, PWP/Black
Another idea i've been playing with is to maybe lease a 09 TL, I don't know if payments will work out with the SH-AWD model, but I'd love to keep that door open. I've seen some pretty good lease deals, but I'm concerned about milage (I'm currently 6000 miles over on my current lease)
This car is mainly for my wife. I'm planning to get another MY04/05 S2000 in a couple months
once I can convince her I won't wreck this one.

People have been making some pretty good deals on 05-06 RLs these days. You're in luck because when I bought mine in August of 08, only the 05s had been coming in off lease returns. Now that we're in 09, you'll have a better shot at 05 and 06. Personally, I would lean toward an 06 - which with Tech pkg will get you some top-of-the line features like active cruise control, rear back-up camera (i believe), etc.
Check this thread to get an idea of what others have paid:

Rear back up camera is not standard, but can be fitted as an option. The 06 Tech Package is the CMBS/ACC/PAX equipped car. It is equivalent to the highest priced package for the similar looking 2007 and 2008 models as well as the current 2009 model. The 06 Tech Package also includes unique PAX wheels and tires, which will be expensive to replace, unless you are already planning to replace the wheels and tires anyway. If you are interested in modifications, know that Acura specifically says you cannot modify the suspension in the CMBS equipped cars. You can, but it may mess up the way the CMBS radar interacts with the traffic and road ahead of the car.

Between the new TL and a used RL, the RL wins. As noted above, many people here have gotten great deals on 2005 RLs the last few months, with some paying under $20k with enough searching. CPO 2005s are in the low 20's, CPO 2006s are in the low-mid 20s, high 20's with very low mileage. I say, do it, especially for the wife, 5 star safety all around, looks that won't attract street racers, luxury, and quiet.
You won't kill yourself with an early AP2 S2000, either, those are going for cheeeeeeep lately.

Right now I'm looking at an 06 with 40K miles w/Tech I'm trying to get them to accept my Civic as a trade in. Once it's off lease I'll owe 12,800 on the civic if they pay for it all I'm trying to negotiate out $21700 as the buy price on the RL. I wonder if they're able to replace the wheels with their non tech RL, I don't care of the PAX tires and it seems like it'll be an expensive replacement. Is that reasonable? I've had 3 dealers reject this offer on similar model / milage RL's but this one says they can work with those #'s.
I'm already preapproved for a 25K loan @ 5.75% so to me this seems like a no brainer for dealers that have had these cars sitting in their lots of months.

I've never traded in a lease so I can't comment on that part of your deal.
It's that sick exhaust sound your car makes.
