the remote has a key in it you can pull out of the FOB, give that to the valet and that is what they use to unlock the doors manually and start the car

It is actually the opposit. You keep the key, and give the FOB to the parking attendent. The key is used to lock the trunk lock in the glove compartment an the trunk access between the rear seats, therefore you should keep the key. The design shortcoming with the FOB as it was pointed out in another thread was that it has no key hole for the parking attendent to hook it up in the place where the customer keys are normally kept.

Why not just leave the car running and give the key to the attendant only when you're ready to pick up the car?

Yup, was over on tsx.acurazine.com doing the PW thing. Not too much going on at work. Gotta stop soon and actually finish something up before I leave though.

Agree with AcuraRLBlue that the fob needs a second hole for the valet. It is so simple to "loan" your car to someone by simply pushing the black button and popping off the fob (instead of the dreaded "circling-around-the-key-ring-thing"). But then they don't have a hole on their end!! I wonder if a small drill hole could be added without disturbing the circuitry, maybe even a tiny hole and adding a second tiny key ring to the fob part.

That portion of the back of the case (where the Acura logo is), just covering the channel for the key, should not have anything in it and may be drilled (?).

See last item on the page.

For anyone who may need something to protect and a means to provide a key chain attachment for the remote, this may be the answer.

It should is better than drilling a hole into the remote, which I will not do. I ordered 2, and I will report back as to how well they are made.

Bought this (the black one) and put Driver 2 fob in it, then would give it to the valet and it worked out well. Still had a problem with them not completely turning off the ignition, but giving them #2 fob in a case that they could hang up worked well for me.
