Does anyone know if there is a 2" hitch made for an 2G RL ? I am getting a 2" inch bike rack for free and wanted to see if there is one in existence ? Thanks for your help.

I know there is a 1", you may just need an adapter

You're gonna drag a 2" receiver on the ground, man. Even though the bike racks usually dogleg up, probably the rack, too.

After losing a set of $$$ mtb race bikes to a stoner kid that rear-ended us on an Arizona highway, I'm not much of a rear-rack guy anymore. We use one when we already have three on the roof and need two more, but then, not on a low-car and we've got an idiot light on the back of the rack, too.

 

To correct a previous poster, its a 1-1/4 hitch. The reason for this is not necessarily for ground clearance, but more due to the fast that the 2 inch hitch is a class 3 and higher, and the RL comes nowhere close to that kind of towing capacity.

Depending on the rack you have, you may be able to use a replacement shank. Please keep in mind, because of the class 1 hitch for the RL, you are limited to 2 bikes.
