Thanyou to all!!
Thanyou to all!!
I just wanted to say thanks for all the assistance this site has given me over the last 48 months for my 05 RL. i was a lot more active in the first two years when we were battling with Acura to get the features on this new model car working the correct way.
After learning from the people on this site, I was generally able to diagnose the problem and even offer a solution. the early guys on this list can probably attest that in some circumstances we were teaching the techs about the car. I know I had a 6 month battle with Acura over problems with the XM radio. the suggestions and advice on this site was invaluable.
I say all this because my lease is up in 2 weeks. I still don't know what I want - maybe a CTS - but I can tell you I have driven M-Bs and BMW so far and none of them can tough the interior of the RL. I will really miss the RL. Hopefully Acura comes out with something in a few years that gets the juices flowing
But again, thanks for all the great advise and suggestions, even if I didn't ask the question.

good luck with your new purchase...with as slow as car sales have been, the gloves will come off this winter and there will be super deals beyond anything we have seen before in January & February...especially on domestics such as the CTS. I don't know how great the cars are, but Cadillac is number one for commercials in my book. "when you turn your car on, does it return the favor." etc. etc.
Not sure how I feel about the Cadillac. Overall, it is DRAMATIC step for GM. Its first step into the auto industry of the 21st century. But, there are some cost cuts here and there. The leather is still not up to par (my opinion). A model I sat in had the "faded" look (leather was losing its scolor in spots along the leg bolsters and on the back, similiar to my father's '99 Olds Intrigue).
If I were in the market, I'd likely be buying the CTS. Only the poor economic climate and my kid's impending entry into preschool (read: $$$$ for a good school) are keeping me from leaping into a CTS-V right now. Mmmmm......556 hp......mmmmmmm

I will be in the same boat in March. Have driven eveything out there and I am still undecided. I heard the CTS is having some problems. I am scaling back a bit and it real hard when you are use to all the fine quailites of the RL. I still think its one of the finest cars out there for the working man. I really like the driven dynamics of the Saab, but its no RL and I am not sure I want to make multiple trips to the dealer for all it nagging problems. LIke you I hope Acura comes out with a nice design, minus that grille with the next gen RL.
