Sunroof won't open

My sunroof doesn't open. I checked the fuse and it looks ok, but I replaced the fuse with a new one anyways. It still doesn't open. Any ideas of what could possibly be wrong? I just purchased my 05 recently and a mistake onmy part for not checking if the sunroof functions or not.

There is a "two-step" click to the button. If you push it all the way, it's auto open/close, the first click is the manual open. It's possible the full auto needs to be re-synced if the manual click works. I'm not sure if that made sense?

Is the re-sync process where I hold the tilt button and turn the ignition to on x4? If it's that, I did that but still nothing.

I know there's a procedure to sync the windows with the driver switch but I haven't heard of a sunroof sync.

Try disconnecting the battery for bit to reset everything & see what happens. Make sure you have your radio and nav codes on hand.

Could the culprit be the that the overhead console/switches are bad? I only ask because I notice when I press the homelink button, it does not light up. But the button to flip the rear headrest and the button for the sunshade works. Is there a fuse for the overhead console? Can't seem to find it.

Fixed it! It was fuse #6 (interior light) under driver side. Got the sunroof to work and homelink button now lights up when pressed

I vaguely remember reading it in a thread, but I can't seem to find it... Glad OP found the solution!
