Sunglass holder?

Here's the stupid question of the day. I was reading through the RL specs sheet looking for some information when I noticed that, under the category of interior comfort/convenience features for the RL, they listed, "sunglass holder". I looked around my RL, and other than the center console top storage areas, I can't find an area that I would call a sunglass holder. Is there some hidden little compartment for holding a pair of sunglasses?? I know that the owners manual is stowed away in a nifty little hidden compartment, I just wonder if there is another such compartment that I have missed?

I am curious as well... I didn't notice it when I was test driving the RL. It could be in the side pockets like the TL... right? Any owners?

Theres a button you can press to lift the bottom of the drink holder up that in essence is kind of a sunglass holder.I guess ?

Isn't that so you can fit bigger cups in there...?

Besides, sometimes your drink may spill and it will leak onto glasses if they are down there, right? lol

I just use the top of the armrest too. It is the perfect size to hold sunglasses in their case.

Thanks for the feedback. Apparently the top of the console is the "sunglass holder".

My old '01 MDX had a real sunglass drop-down holder that we used. One of the very few complaints we had after trading it for an '04 was that Acura did away with sunglasses holders. I guess they do not see a need. Another minor plus for the M35.

Well, I guess that we can come to two conclusions:
1. The sunglass holder listed in the specs is appartently the divided top compartment of the center console. (I was expecting a fold down compartment like the one in the '01 MDX mentioned by MSU79gt82 or in Gibson6594's TSX.)
2. Dealers don't have a clue.

P.S. Thanks for the feedback and thanks to vikrampatel for your work in proving conclusion #2

I don't think I can say they don't have a clue yet (ok, well yes I can - but not for this specific "feature") The TL has inserts that are in the door pockets, they just slide in and out which is exactly what he said would be on the RL. To be honest, this is the FIRST sales person I have EVER dealt with who actually knows anything about the cars. Everything I have asked, he has answered with full detail - and correctly (I enjoy testing them and proving them wrong - I get this enjoyment out of knowing more than the sales people, it's bad, I know )

Doesn't the saying for sunglasses go: "in your face or in their case"? That's how it goes for me, at least...I don't just throw my sunglasses any where (designated or not)

A padded drop-down holder specifically made for sunglasses IS "in the case" so to speak.

The sunglass holder is mod #3 on my list. Right after the replacing the horn with the Dixie theme and putting a gold eagle on the hood. I figure I can make a holder by putting a large velco strip on the dash and some on my glasses.

Don't forget to try your head. Of all the holders I've seen, the nose and ears do a stellar job. :gheylaugh:

You may use the compartment at the top of the glove box - open the glove box and push the button inside at the top - the small lid will drop revealing a "secret" compartment within the glove box. If you use this little compartment exclusively for your sunglasses they will not get scratched. The other is the rear section of the door pockets where you can fit the sunglasses stored in their case - the front of the compartment is not wide enough and the door will not shut if you place them there.

The "Official" RL sunglass holder is in the driver side door pocket.

There isn't one in my drivers side door, I'll ask about it. Is it the same insert that they used in the TL?

I was wrong. Was thinking of the sunglass holder in the TL.
