stiff driver doorhandle

another minor problem is occurring. the driver's door handle is hard to pull all the way to open the door. it gets stuck about halfway, and i have to use a bit more force to open the door. it doesn't happen all the time, maybe like..2 out of 6 times. it also happens when i open the door from the inside. i mean, there's nothing wrong with the keyless entry, just that it takes a bit more effort to open the door. it only happens when the door is closed. if i test the handles from outside and in, when the door is opened, it's fine. i'm also a bit iffy about the techs taking apart the door to check the problem..so does anyone know of a quick fix? or has this happen to anyone else?

I have noticed this lately. Very intermittent on whether the handle is smooth or clunky.

Think I have seen a similar thing with mine. Seems that it is more prevalent in warm weather and the car sitting with the sun hitting that side (drivers) of the car. Have not noticed it so much on the passenger's side (maybe once or twice total).

Did have my dealer look into it one time and they "adjusted" the door. Worked better for a few days but then needed "adjustment" again which I've not asked them to do. (didn't think the adjustment was going to do anything to begin with <wink>) To me, seems more heat/direct sunlight related than anything.

I have a four month old 07 and started experiencing this issue intermittantly in the last 30 days. It happens just as frequently in my garage out of direct sunlight as when I'm parked outside. I have discerned no pattern as to its occurence and feel reluctant to take it to the dealer for something so minor.

Try a little teflon spray lube on the moving parts of the door handle. Did the trick for me.
