Stand-up Emblem Hood
Stand-up Emblem Hood
I have an '05 black RL and find it difficult to drive aggressive at times because I can't see the front of the car. I'm always guessing at the space between me and another car or the side of the road... all I see is the windshield and no hood. It's like watching TV from the driver's seat.
Although it may be tacky, I'd like to see something like MB has on the end of their roofs.

I've never seen anything like that before, but I really don't think it would look very good. But if it's functional for your purposes, a reputable body shop might be able to retrofit the Acura calipers to the front of the hood. Doubtful if it would really help you much though.
The man has a point. Here's a drill I was put through by my buddies when learning to drive, that I used for my younger brother and that I still counsel people to try. It comes from a trucking school: snag or create some vertical highway pylons (ie the tubular red ones with the heavy base) and set them up so that you can practice navigating so close to them that you do hit them. Parallel park, turn tightly around them as your inside line and with them as the outside line. This is how you "learn the corners of your vehicle".
Do this. Learn where your corners are and you will never regret it. You will be a better driver for it.
Then, get nitrous and a box of caltropes. Those are crucial for aggressive driving.
When I first got my RL, I put a Q-tip on the hood and sat in the driver's seat to see where the hood became "invisible".
I think that the panoramic view is pretty cool -- the '09 has a more elevated hood that makes me think the car is "bent up" at the base of the windshield.
