give it to the dealer and have them put it on. I had my dealer do the spoiler on my 06.

I think they only charged me about $150 in labor. a couple weeks after they put it on, teh tape on one side failed and the spoiler started lifting off the trunk near the corner. i took it back in, they ordered a whole new spoiler/reainstalled for free...of course I had a nice new loaner while they worked on my car....

not sure if they flubbed the first install, or if the tape was defective..but for the peace of mind of knowing it will be done right, and only paying $150, i'd let the dealer put it on.

the instructions show that there is a bunch of screws not just tape holding it down.

I doubt my dealer would give me a loaner, they never had.

This is the only dealer in Manhattan and with the population there is no personalized service.

They run a monopoly, they don't need to respect the customer and they don't.

The 2005-2008 used tape and screws, plus added the extra heavy duty gas dampers for the extra weight. Some decided to just use heavy duty double stick tape from Home Depot, and apparently it has worked well, so no drilling through the aluminum trunk lid. If you do drill, at least there is no rust to worry about!

You're not the only one to have a problem w/ that tape. I've replaced a couple spoilers because the corners "lift" up.
