Question A-Spec Pricing?

Just got a quote from an Illinois dealership for 05 RL with the A-spec package. Here is the break down.

Car: $44,300
A-Spec: $7,000 including installation
Total: $51,300

First off the 7K seems very high for what essentially is wheels tires lowered suspension.

But what really through me off was they say Acura doesn't sell the items seperate. I don't really like the side skirts and I think I might want to put my own rims on so I asked the dealer to pull those items out. His reponse was that the A-spec package comes complete you can't pick and choose what you want.

Does anyone know if that price is high or low and if you can or can't have the items individually.

If anyone has good pricing on wood steering wheels and back up sensors I would love to know what you paid for them.

You can buy the items seperately for a lot less on eBay. Look for Curry Acura.

I've had my dealership purchase & install the A-Spec suspension without the wheelz (I'm STILL looking) or body mods.

That price is too high for the a-spec package even at a dealership. Should be closer to $5K or so at a dealer. My dealer says you can definetly split up the "package" as the components have separate part numbers. I have just discussed with them today getting the wheels (silver rather than the chrome version), Pirelli tires and possibly the suspension. They have given me a break down of the cost for each component so I can pick and choose what I actually want to purchase.

This is after market for me as I bought the RL last October. You should be able to get a better price as part of your RL purchase. I bought the RL so early the a-spec package hadn't even been anounced so I didn't have that opportunity as the current purchasers do.

I'm not certain what the exact pricing should be, but this info from Acura in Nov of 2004 indicated the following:
The RL A-SPEC kit will be priced at approximately $5,500 plus dealer installation and covered under a factory warranty.

Full detailz from the old press release HERE.

As stated, you should be able to get a better deal when you purchase the A-Spec componentz with the new vehicle.

Like others have said, you can buy the parts seperately. 7k is a little high IMO. For the TL the suspension was about 600, body kit about 700, wheels and tires about 2000. Installation was about 600. I would imagine they would increase the price a little because it is the RL. But now quite to 7k.

Looking for a Rl and I love the looks. Could I get just the ASPec body kit and the wheels without the suspension? Wary about he car riding too low and not fond of the low look.

Also can you get this in a lease? What would you guys think would be a good price for the RL with body kit, 18 inch wheels, wood streering and shift knob?

you can deffinately purchase all A-SPEC itme separately.
I purchased the suspension and the body kit for about $1200.
The suspension cost around $660, and there is no charge for shipping, only handling which is around $3.50.
