Is this the A-Spec Kit?

Saw this at a dealer. Has bigger wheels and looks a little lower with different front air dam and lip on trunk. Is this the A-Spec kit for the RL? Did it come with 18" or 19" wheels? Those look like 18 but hard to tell. Not a big fan of chrome wheels, kinda ghetto looking, but always said black was the only color I'd ever get chrome wheels with.

Well I found some photos from when the kit was introduced. Looks like this is indeed the full kit. Anyone want to venture what a fair price would be on an 08 with 40K miles in good condition with the kit? I see the kit retailed for a whopping $5.5K, but for used resale, it is probably worth 25% of the original MSRP at best or about $1.5K I'd guess. Seems like most $50K+ luxury cars, these RL's have taken a higher than average depreciation hit for an Acura.

So since the car is 3/4" lower I suspect it has difference springs+shocks in addition to bigger sway bars? When comparing Acura TL Type-S and the RL, the RL actually was slightly more unsettled/jittery over rough road than the Type-S even though the RL had a more "floating" ride than the stiff Type-S suspension. Would be nice if A-Spec suspension on the RL got the jitters out, improving the handling, without making the ride to stiff.

you never get something for nothing... especially with suspension.

If you want go-cart like handling, you're going to get a rougher ride. If you want a plush cruiser, it's going to float.

you could do what I did - buy the RL and leave it stock and floaty and then grab a used Boxster that is slammed low, rides stiff, and corners like it's on frickin rails...

the only sucky part is that after a while, you're wife, who likely fails to appreciate the attributes of the sexy Porsche starts getting on your case about all the money you spend on it and wants you to get rid of it...
