A-Spec aero package question

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum and I just purchased a 2005 RL. I want to add the A-Spec aero package to my car but when I went to the dealer they told that for 2005 a package was not available you have to buy each piece individually (which is more expensive), but I know now for 2007 a aero package is available.
The issue I have is that when you compare all the pieces you will need for the aero package, from 2005 to 2007 all the part numbers are the same except for the rear skirt piece, it is off by one number.
Does anyone know if they changed the rear bumper on the RL's from 2005 to 2007?
Should I be safe to buy the 2007 package for my 2005?

Any input you can give would be dearly appreciated.

Thank you

The A-Spec body kit (officially called the underbody kit) is exactly the same from 2005-2008. You can buy it piece by piece, or whole, at the dealer, or you can do so on the Acura Ownerlink site.

If you want to save money, though....you can buy the whole underbody kit for around $1100 on eBay as there are several dealers who sell the kits there.

You can also contact user "Hondacuraworld", an official site vendor, to see what they are charging. I note you only have two posts, so you can't send private messages. I therefore recommend going to www.hondacuraworld.com and using their contact email. Tim or one of his staff generally responds in short order.

Welcome to AZ and I hope this helps!

I would recommend that the money is better spent on A-Spec suspension and installation of same. The suspension can be had for about $650 for all four corners. Go to Tim at Hondacuraworld, or curry acura ebay store.

I just got my a-spec package today, and the body shop told they believe to install the package they will need to DRILL holes into the front fascia. I used to have a 01 Prelude and the kit was just drilled in from the sides and used 2 sided tape.

Is this guy crazy or do RL A-spec packages really need to be drilled into the front bumper?

Curry Acura is awesome, you will not be disappointed if you purchase from them on Ebay.
