Well i just got mine for 32000 otd it has 35k miles and is certified. You can try to get a better deal but I doubt it. Check how long they had that RL on their lot, if its been a while then maybe you can if not then i strongly doubt it.

fatty,

Welcome to AZ! The main thing you will want to have checked out on that 2005 is for the TSBs that have been released to improve the electronic systems. If they haven't been done, it's just a simple matter of visiting the dealer to have them taken care of after purchase. I'm pretty sure 2005 RL owners will chime in to give you more specifics.

$31k OTD is not a bad deal. Would you believe that KBB is quoting $36k for dealer retail value for a 2005 RL with 40k miles? I don't think anyone here has actually paid that much for a 2005 at this point.

Here in CT most 05's at dealers with that kinda miles are actually for $33k or higher. i've even seen some at $36k with like 45k miles. So you better jump on it.

It should go off, but I remember hearing that the '05s had the annoying chime. It was corrected in '06 by eliminating it.

I think the tire pressure is accurate. Mine seems to be fine. Yeah i just noticed that beep too. But it doesnt bother me much. Its hard to get used to not actually using the key to lock and unlock the door and start and stop the car. Everytime i park the car and get ready to get out i sit for a minute and ponder to myself if i'm forgetting something. well its only been 1 official day with my new love so i guess i will eventually get used to it. What color did you get? Was it certified?

Welcome to our exclusive little club, then! Don't forget to post your purchase details in the RL owner sign in thread at the top of the main 2G RL page. We hope to hear from you often.

The chime on auto is a known issue with the 2005s.

I find the TPMS system reasonably accurate, usually within 1 psi of my trusty analog tire pressure meter.

You want to make sure that you shut the off. There have been stories where some people did not turn the car all the way off and drained their batteries.

That's correct. Look at the MID and see what code it gives you when it's servicing time.

I bought my 2005 w/38K miles on it for $30K from a FL dealer on eBay.

Always great to bring a FL car to the Northeast.
