My '06 has large blue striped areas that run nearly the length of the decorative sill plates on all four door openings.

Is it styled to be blue, or did the original owner just never tear off a blue plastic protective coating?

 

Pics would help here. It sounds like the original owner (or selling dealer) added stripes. The RL does not have any stripes from the factory.

 

Must be the protective film. I still have mine on after more than 4 years.

 

I think this is the protective film on the door sills. They look so good, I never took them off. Kind of goes with the blue LEDs...

 

My '05 still has the protective blue coating on the sills, too. And I thought I was the only one!

 

oh yea mine were on my cpo 06 but kinda scratched so i took them off, the shiny silver looks way better.
