sliding floor mat on driver's side

I noticed no matter how much I adjust the floor mat, on the driver's side, it always seems to slide up and covers about an inch or 2 of the foot rest thing. Has anyone else had this problem.. no matter how many times I adjust it, it starts to ride up again..I have the latches hooked in, but the mat just won't stay in place.

Do you have the mat attached to the hook in the floorboard?

don't have this problem, but are the hooks on the driver side reversed from the hooks on the passenger side in everyone's RL (or is this a mistake on mine)

I have had this problem on occasion, but only because I have the all weather mats on top of the carpet mats, and the all weather mat can creep up, usually because my wife, who is short, will move the chair up a lot, and it starts to push the all weather mat.

Acura instructs that the all weather mat should be used in place of the carpeted mat, not on top as I am doing. The hook is not long enough to work with both the carpet and the all weather mat.

I always replace the factory carpet mats with MacNeil Weathertech rubber mats. We live at the end of a gravel road in Maine and there is always a lot of sand, etc.

When I enter the car I plant my foot in such a way that the mat slips a little so that at the end of a week it has displaced a little bit in the way you describe. Take notice of your body movements when you enter and may notice a similar reason.

I have to OEM floormats , fabric, and I HOOK them .. I just notice the left front always rides up against that black foot rest. I think they should have better traction on the bottom of the mat so it doesn't slide..

If you change to the all-weather mats, they really don't shift very much at all in my experience.
