Electromagnetic system, yaw rate sensors, lateral G sensors, wheel speed and steering angle sensors! Damn!!!!!

After watching some of the videos on SH AWD, I hope there arent any solar flares any time soon. We'd be screwed!

When Honda introduced SHAWD the media gave it lukewarm attention. Competitors poo poo'd it as overkill.

Those same competitors are now copying dynamic all wheel drive systems close in function to SHAWD. Now the media pees in their pants at the sheer genius of such systems.

Typical Honda legacy.

OOPS, I did it again!

Same spot, coming back from the airport in the rain. Minding my own business and I coast down the ramp into the same sharp left turn. Again I am in the right hand lane, leaving the left lane open. Another car right up my butt has just had an Extreme Makeover courtesy of the cement retaining wall and guard rail.

This time it was a black Mustang GT. I stopped just to ask if he need help or a call made. It was raining harder by then so I was not eager to stick around and get creamed by another yahoo. I gather by his swearing he was OK. And he was dialing his phone. Off I went.

*sigh*

I wonder if my RL is the automotive equivalent to a bunny at the greyhound track? What's his name? Rusty?

I will report, however, the Extreme Makeover appeared on my NavTraffic before I got home.

Driving a Mustang GT in the rain...not so smart.

You sir are a natural disaster on 4 wheels! You should STOP peacocking your RL feathers around these Inferior creatures, however I do commend the act of kindness & self restraint of not giggling during the confrontation.

I wonder if that guy in the Mustang would post on the Mustang forum..... titled "Mustang can't keep up with RL on curve, look what happened to me!!!!"

I guess Tampa's car is extremely inviting to these kinda events.... or must have a magnetic button that when activated will attract dumb asses to follow him into the curve that only the RL can survive Did you modify the On-Star button to do that?

I really don't understand why some drivers feel a need to chase me. I am a conservative driver, abide rules of the road allow people to pass on the left, and yes...brace yourself, I even use those pretty flashy lights on the corners of the car....whatever they are called.

Other than swinging through curves where the suggested speed is no fun for the RL I just don't get it. And yes, I do so much want to point and giggle (once I confirm Darwinism has not been accelerated)

And trust me, you need not a button or magnet to find a dumb ass. Just look around.

Great post TampaRL. SH-AWD is supreme! After trading in my 04 RL, it took me some time to realize I need to accelerate through the turn to make the most of the SH-AWD's rail-like traction! Another reason to purchase an RL over the TL.

This thread gets better and better. This time, RWD overcorrection in the rain leads to trouble....

When will other drivers ever learn?
