Sensitive Alarm System

It's only happened a few times (tonight being one of them)... the car alarm goes off with the horn blasting etc. No one is messing with the car, it takes me two seconds to look out the window. The same thing happened the last few times the alarm went off, the car is just sitting in the driveway unmolested.

This concerns me because I'd hate to have it parked somewhere and the alarm goes off, drains the battery, and leaves me stranded

I had the same behavior, until I found that the panic button was being depressed in my too tight jeans, against some coins in the coin pocket when I bent down or sat down. No my jeans are not tight because of style, but because of 10lbs I need to loose.

I now carry my keys differently.

I did not really know it was the RL. I would hear this from inside the house and figured someone on the street was having a problem. Never could tell who, from a glance through the windows though, that is because the culprit was behind the garage doors!

I'm guilty of this occasionally when my pockets are overstuffed as well.

Perhaps you both need to wear the transmitter on a gold chain around your necks? Just be sure the 'A' faces outward.

*ducking*

Yeah, each time it happened I thought it was someone elses car. Kind of embarrasing when you learn that it's yours.

My keys were hanging up on their hook in the usual spot, so the panic button wasn't being pressed inadvertently.
The only thing that I can think of, is a cat or dog setting it off. I don't know if that's even likely. Can a strong breeze set it off if the car is slightly rocking?

Don't know, kind of at a loss.
