Seat coolers???

I heard acura Rls in Canada had seat heaters and coolers??? Has anyone put these into US Spec RLs??? I want this mod! My sisters IS250 has these and it should have been an easy option in the RL considering all the luxury it has!!

you would be replacing the entire set of seats along with modifications for wiring etc.....nice but $$. I really wish this feature was included, especially considering the Canadians got it.

Buy an 09 or 10 and you get the coolers.

I have not been impressed with the seat coolers in my 09. Not many hot days yet out her in the San Francisco Bay Area so they haven't been used very much, but my observation is that I can tell that the cooler is on but it really doesn't cool very much.

I think the technology still has a way to go and certainly wouldn't put a lot of effort into retrofitting.

I believe the seat cooler is meant to keep your @$$ at a normal temperature not freeze your balls off.

I can definitely feel difference between the 3 cooling levels and you definitely won't break a sweat with it on.

Snow, search the forum. This has been discussed before.

The '09-10 has basically different seats from the '05-08. To retrofit the old seats, you need parts from a Canadian dealer. It sounds possible, but has seldom been tried.

I think that the ladies present on this forum probably cannot identify with your metaphor but I cannot think of the opposite gender equivilent. Either gender will benefit significantly from this option though!

I personally would like to have seat coolers. If you ever play any sports & need to drive home to get to a shower or even to cool-off a bit, then it would be greatly appreciated.

Even more apropos for a "luxury" vehicle, why would you give it to Canada & not the U.S.? There are so many more places in the U.S. that are much warmer year-round than Canada. Especially if you wore shorts or dress slacks, something to cool you or more importantly, cool the leather, would add a lot to the comfort factor. I thought the perforated leather itself would contribute to a more effective cooling system.
