yes...it does remove the third cat. The jpipe is one whole piece that replaces the stock jpipe and of course that third cat.

I've noticed a couple times that the jpipe will "kick" up against the car. It's happened like 3 times, nothing big, but just noticed it during hard acceleration when stomping on it at about 40mph.

There's another thread I made with pics down the way...but here it is...kinda hard to see, the flex pipe is kind of where the cat was...

02 I'd recheck your install! I have no"kick" no vibrations nothing whatsoever, you might want to have that looked at before something breaks...

i had a broken front motor mount and it caused the OEM front pre cat to break at the weld. So thats when i did XLR8 polyurtane mounts for a TL and its Solid now! Thats the way to go, cuz the OEM mounts break every 30k or so.

It's not anything that bad, very quick when it happens. Install isn't wrong...really can't imagine how it could have gone wrong, lol...pretty straight forward with the jpipe

You're probably right, makes since. I checked my other bushings, etc to see if I could figure out why I still feel/hear a very subtle clunk when I go over bumps. I can feel it slightly transfer through the steering and started to think it could be a motor mount (only thing I haven't checked yet)...yippy add that to the list of things to fix.

yeah, if I'm the only one with that kick every now and then...must be a mount

Definitely a good quality pipe they made though. I think I feel most of the added power in the midrange for me.

does the car feel like it is more responsive... or does it just have more pull when it is finally accelerating?

as to the motor mounts - does anyone make poly mounts for our cars? that woudl tighten things up nicely...

you guys were right...it was my mounts. I had them replaced and no more problems. I also don't feel that bumping feeling through the steering wheel like I did before replacing them.

just oem ones...I didn't want to have any vibration. They were gone before I put the jpipe and pcd's on. I have 150,000 miles on my car
