Rotora rotors

Rotora makes great slotted rotors! I had them on my CL, which had notoriously crappy brakes. The rotors held up and increased performance. I think I paid $330 with tax for all 4.

I've had Rotora slotted rotors and ceramic pads in my 02 TL-S, and they were the best combo EVER! The slotted rotors from Rotora never warped and the pads lasted a long time - and produced fairly low amount of brake dust!

well if you raced you would understand that of corse they grab more and with the rl being heavy more bite helps a lot. And depending on your driving stile you can pick what temp pads you want! Check out there site carbotech and read the models of pads and temps. I have used so many diffrent pads in 14 years i know what is good.

btw, using so many pads in 14 years sounds like you know what is bad

Just a quick question. Do you get your rotors resurfaced everytime you change your brakes? What is the recommended interval for resurfacing, especially with these rotora rotors?

You resurface your brakes only if they are warped. However, you can't resurface slotted or cross-drilled rotors.

Case open: decelleration is different to braking. Die on the first turn? I bet that most of your turns pull about .3 g's. The cars ability exceeds .8 g's. You will be amazed how the car corners if you just turn the wheel. I go through a freeway intersection every day that has a posted (recommended) speed of 35, I leave the cruise on at 70. OK - I may lose some rubber but I just got 70 K out of my last set of tires. When I exit the freeway I coast to 30 on the off ramp and then brake. I see lots of people who stay on the gas until they have to brake. Try coasting.

As far as deceleration being not the same as braking, here's the definition #3 from dictionary.com
brake: anything that has a slowing or stopping effect.
btw, coasting is no news to me.

I'm not really sure what kind of opinion you have of my driving, but it doesn't seem to be very good. For whatever reason you picture me as the guy who's on cruise control 100% of the time.

The dictionary definition #3 is not applicable in this context as, in driving, braking is an action and not necessarily a reaction. I.E. a truck may go down a steep hill with his brakes on but the velocity rate of change may be incrementaly increasing.

no...I'm definitely cooler than db22, at least I know what I'm talking about.
if slowing down isn't braking then I don't know what is.
It doesn't matter if you step on the brake or you use air friction or engine deceleration, you're braking whether you like it or not.

So a plane on final approach is decellerating due to the wind resistance being greater than the engines thrust, he is braking? When he lands and applies the brakes, is he braking? OK it's a rhetorical question, we all know that applying the brakes while the plane is in the air, won't do a whole bunch in the slowing down department. Let's do the car analogy: remove the brake pads from the calipers, push the brake pedal and the accelerator to the floor. Are you braking? Yes. Are you decellerating? No. In fact you will be accelerating but your action will be braking.
