RL sales April: stable
Acura sold 658 RLs in April, down from 1031 last April (30.9% loss). Seems to be holding roughly steady compared to the last few months. So far, 2205 sold this year, 39.3% less than at this time last year.
Acura overall is down 9.5% YTD.

Wow how embarrasing I would be pretty pissed if I was in charge of Acura. However the RDX is getting better along with the MDX. The TL and TSX should be down since they been out so long. Acura better pull amazing out for the new TL and TSX to help. Although there not doing too horrible so im not worried. As far as the RL I think if more people knew about it they would buy it.

sad that such a good car is getting hammered in sales. Sheesh
My new summer tires were slapped on today and I took the car for a spin...crazy handling meaning a nice improvement even over the already good performance with the OEMs. Not that it'd matter but Acura should start using real performance rubber on the car. At the very least the morons who work for the auto mags would prefer it.

Three Wheelin'
1) All of Acura is being hammered in sales. The only models that are increasing are the RDX (because it is new) and the MDX (finally).
2) The car market in the US, especially the luxury car market is struggling. The economy is slowing down and people are less willing or able to acquire luxury cars. Those who are more willing and able are sticking to the traditional luxury brands.

You raise an interesting point, CL6, when you say that Acura should have more models to spread the risk. This viewpoint is in part supported by BMW in that the 5-series model that directly competes with the RL, the 530xi, sold only 441 copies last month, a significant decrease from 574 copies last year. (The 5 series as a whole did significantly worse than last year, as noted above, but still sold 3592 copies last month.)
