RL does not register different driver remote entry
My 2006 RL seems to have a consistent issue when switching between keyless entries (i.e. driver 1 drives car for session 1 and then driver 2 drives car for session 2). seems buggy to me.
It even shows "Welcome Driver 1" when it's the driver 2 labeled key. So the config settings it uses are driver 1's for driver 2.
Anybody else having this problem? It takes a few driving sessions for it to register the different key/configs.
pretty annoying.

Are both keys in the car at the same time? That is, have you left keyfob 1 in the house and walked to the car with exclusively keyfob 2 in hand?

I have it all the time. Here is how it works on our car.
rule one - whomever unlocks the car last will be the shown driver.
rule two - if the driver unlocks the driver door, and the passenger has a fob and opens the passenger door, it will unlock the passenger door using fob 2 as the passenger door will remain locked for security reasons until it senses that 2nd fob. If the driver wants it to remain fob 1 from driver entry the driver must unlock the car using either unlock on the fob or the lever on the door.
rule 3 - which ever driver unlocks it last will set the button number before the car starts. Once the car starts the driver number cannot be changed.
rule 4 - when you wash the car, walk by it and touch the door it will sometimes get confused and open. I had my fob on my pocket one day while washing the car and while at the passenger door the locks must have cycled 10 times because of it.
rule 5 - Acura is aware of all the confusion as the dealers get lots of complaints. Usually it is driver education needed or just the design flaws in the system. It amazes me that one cannot switch driver numbers once the car starts but Acura says that is for safety reasons.

I think we need to add this to the Garage. Excellent explanation.
