Is the RL A/C "low-key" like Lexus's?

I remember well from my two LS's that Lexus likes to keep the A/C in its lux cars quiet and unnoticeable. As a result, I was always cranking the temp down to get the temperature and airflow I wanted.

I notice in my RL that I kinda have to do the same thing. Even when it was only like 85 here today at lunch, I had to have the A/C set on 65 to keep it comfortable. In my TL, OTOH, I would have had it at 70. It's just a numbers game, I guess, and of course I could just take it off Auto and go to manual, but I like using Auto instead of switching it back and forth.

Has anyone else noticed this, or is it just me?

Coming from an '04 TSX 6MT I can say the RL A/C is much quieter yet I can keep the setting the same as it was in the TSX, which is 76. Recently the A/C in my TSX (69700 miles) started to make a whoosing/humming noise anytime I would use for a long period of time and then set in traffic idling (when it would make the mystery noise thatwas never diagnosed by Acura - a number of times).

76!?!?

I'm too hot-natured for that.

Haven't noticed any difference from my TL. Go as low as 66 when it's too hot (around 80) and as high as 70 when it's not that hot. If it's 70 or less out, I keep it off.
