impossible it is not. Get someone with small hands and look at the bulb diagram.

1. open the plastic cover (10,000 volts +) - 21 in diagram
2. Counter clock wise undo the power cord, put it aside - 33 in diagram
3. There is a V shape spring holding the bulb, you gotta push in and to the side on each side - 13 in diagram
4. when undone, pull down the spring to release bulb
5. pull bulb out and replace - 15 in diagram
6. go step 4-1 backwards.
7. repeat on the other side (and yes, you will probably scratch your self at some point) but it's doable

taking the front brumper off would be step 0 in my manual...but I guess if you don't got small hands that's the way to go.

I haven't tried the driver side but the passenger side was rather easy.

1) remove plastic over in the engine
2) remove plastic windshield wiper funnel
3) remove plastic cap
4) pull out connectors
5) undo spring clips

Unless you can palm a 10 lbs watter melon, your hands should be small enough.

So I just replaced the driver side bulb. I wasn't able to change it without completely removing the intake box. Even then it was pretty tight.
