Smile remote start question

So I went to get a remote start put in my car and the installer said that there was no way to keep the car running (take over overide) with the idatalink immoblizer. They said that I would have to hit the brakes and kill the car to and restart it. I know that DEADLOCK and his installer figured out a way to do it but was wondering if anybody knows where I can get a wiring diagram. The diagram on his post is just a generic one from modifiedlife.com. I am loooking to install the new compustar Slice on the car.

No, all the cars I've have the past was easy. u Just turn the key to the 2 position and depress the brakes and your good to Go. with the proximity key u can't do it. u essentially have to turn the car twice which can be hard on the starter.

went ahead and got it done. after many hours of research didn't find anything that would not allow a manual take over so I crossed my fingers. and had it installed. everything works great I can get in car turn the stub over to acc 2 position and go without having to restart the car. I keep the oem fob remote in the car and just carry the remote start fob to eliminate the bulk. the only thing I'm lossing in that deal us the touch sensors but every thing else works great.

Hi, do you have the wiring info for the remote start? I am worried about the same issue that i will have to start the car twice. I bought a compustar as well.

Same with me, I have the compustar pro R5 installed on my '10 RL with 2 way remote and proximity sensors. I only have to remote start once. I get in turn knob and put in gear, and Im off. Now if you make a mistake and tap the brake before you turn the knob, car will cut off, then you will have to restart vehicle. It took me a while to find someone that was able to install remote start on RL without any issues. I've been satisfied with it so far.

I was able to install compustar 7900-as with blade. Works like a charm. I didn't install alarm and shock sensor though from the kit.
