Reflections on 200,000km

I just rolled over 200,000km (125,000mi) on my 2005 and since this is the most mileage I've ever put on a vehicle, thought it would be a good time to look back.

Purchased in Nov 2005 with 11,000km and an in-service date in May 2005.
Under $14,000 on maintenance (excl gas and insurance).
No additional warranty purchased.
On 3rd set of tires. Now using the Nitto Motivos.
On 3rd battery.
Replaced AFS sensor, 74,000km, $700.
Replaced timing belt, 113,000km, $2200.
Replaced harmonic balancer,157,000km, $800 service, tow required (on vacation!!!).
DVD Changer is dead. Dealer says they can take-out and send the whole head-unit (+AC/Nav) to the mfg for maintenance. Not going to bother and live without CD music for now.
Had the commonly reported whine for many years, but curiously enough, cannot recall hearing it after the harmonic balancer was replaced.
Get the "Check AFS System" warning light from time-to-time, but it clears itself within 2 or 3 starts.
No signs of rust on the body (in Southern Ontario).
No noticeable body creaks or rattles.
Poor city mpg (luck to get 450km on a full tank, close to 800km on highway)
Awesome tourer, wifey and I travel 12hrs a day on the way to Florida and not be too tired.

All in, I'm very pleased with my RL. Next milestone - 250,000km!

250K clicks is breakfast for the RL. Mine has reached almost 265K and is running like new except for the "tok" sound from front suspension that nobody can figure out. Recently I have felt a small hesitation in transmission gear changes, it could be anything else in the drive train. I have 9 bottles DW1, 3 bottle DPSF and 1 bottle transfer case fluid in the trunk waiting to replace whats lubing the car right now.

Go figure, I just started getting a noise "tok?" as well. They replaced the suspension joints, but this did not solve the issue. Going in on Monday for a recheck.

I do have another outstanding brake issue where the front calipers have to be replaced.

221,000 running like...

New!!! I never owned a car past 80.000 before I got another but this baby is solid as the day new at 20 miles on her. I have not spent allot on 2005 rl but I am so upset about the Rlx awd locking me out with its high price of 70,000 plus when it comes out. So i am looking at the q50 awd it is the same price of my 2005 rl new. I do not know what is wrong with Acura high price???
