Recommendation for Exhaust tips

Can anyone recommend a good set of clamp on tips that will fit and look good on the back of an RL with the Underbody kit? The car still has the stock tips. They look fine except their now to short. They are "inside" the bumper by about a good 3 inches. Looks ridiculous.

The stock tips are about 5 inches (end to end). I probably need something about 7 to 8 inches long to come flush or pertrude a small bit.

Anyone do this already and have a recommendation?

If you got yhe OEM kit installed a set of extened tips should have come with the kit - at least they did with my TSX. If they don't at least go beyond the bumper you may find that the heat from the exhast will start to deform your kit. Also since your RL is white the exhaust soot will darken the color.

I thought there was enough room to slide the stock tips further out to help bring them closer to flush with the bumper. I thought I read that here on the forums from someone who did it.

I asked the dealer about that when I picked up the car. It was something I noticed immediately. They said there's no replacement tips that go with the underbody kit. They "always" install it that way. I had no reason to think they were lying. Seemed like something shortsighted a car manufacturer would do (even a good one like Acura). I decided to just hunt for my own replacements since it's not that expensive, however, many websites don't describe the diameter of the flair end and it's hard to get a sense of how well it will fill out this LARGE opening in the body kit

I already did that. Took it right to within an inch of the end of the pipe. Probably not very secure for the long haul PLUS it's still about an inch inside the flush line.

Maybe every car's exhaust system is cut slightly different. Mine sure doesn't have the slack.

I did that too but feel not too very secure so I put it back where it belongs.
The OEM tip has the bolt which must be screwed to the welded bracket w/ nut.
3A racing tips should work but I did not have time look into it yet.

just bring it to a muffler shop, and have them weld a small 2-3" long pipe to extend the tips a bit.

Argh! Brand new car and exhaust system. Don't want to do that just because the tips don't fit right anymore.

I saw a few potential options from Flowmaster and a few others. Unfortunately they all had 4" OD flairs so it won't fill the opening well enough. I saw one 5" round tip but it's a weld on. I'd need to bring it to the shop and I was trying to avoid that.

An obvious solution I didn't consider

I might do that if I can't find a new longer tip to fill the space right.
