Rear Headrest issues?

I just noticed today that when I press the button to bring down the rear headrests, it doest work and the headrests stay as is. Anyone else have this issue? I'll bring it to a dealer, but I hope it is not an involved fix.

No, headrest retraction works just fine...just don't press the button when people are sitting in the back! I hit the wrong button when trying to raise the sunshade.

Kind of reminds me of that old show "In Living Color" with the Homey the Clown skits. I did this to a co-worker of mine who is short, she made some crack to me and I told her Homey don't play that and the hit the button. Wap, she got bopped right on the head.

It's my understanding that the rear head restraints are not supposed to retract when the seatbelts are fastened. Maybe try messing with the latch mechanism (depress the release a few times, jiggle it around, insert the buckle and release a few times). Just a suggestion, have no idea if it will actually work.

In my old Volvo, they came down forward. A good way to get someone's attention.

No headrest issues here.

My in-laws are too serious for me to pull that kind of a joke on them.

*whap* . "Are these broken?"

got this fixed at the dealership, apparently a wire was loose when they did an update before. It was an easy fix..... and man.... those headrests come down like a karate chop!

I had a similar problem at delivery, the passenger side rear headrest wouldn't stay up though. They replaced the head rest rather than try and figure out what the problem was.

Mine seems to stick the "first time". Hit it again and it seems to depress what I would assume to be normally. (this was only research because the headrests were down by then <g>).
