Are they seriously charging you $750 just to swap out the rear diff? Their labor rate must be $300 an hour because that should only be about a 2.5 hour job. Pretty easy to replace. Hope this finally fixes your problem...can't believe how much you have spent already.

Just drove out of the shop with precious all fixed. :-) Th y actually gave me a 15% discount on the labor so I paid $650 including taxes. Plus the $165 for the part. Lonely problem now is I have a $600SHAWD control unit I don't need. I'll see if eBay will help me get rid of it

Oh well - at least it's fixed and Hondura didn't get to bend you over a SH-AWD diff.

Irksome thing is even that comes in bits (diff, front, left & right clutch packs) so you wouldn't have needed all of it.
