Problem with the power steering warning light

My RL had the smog check yesterday.
After the 2000rpm idle for a couple of minute, the Power Steering warning light lit up.
When I restart , the warning light went off.
but I still have the power steering warning on the message
info.
I then made the 2000 rpr idle when the car is on P and see this waning light came out again after some time. It returne to normal after engine was restarted.
Any one had the same problem ?

You check your fluid levels?

Have you had the power steering hose recall done? The recall is because fluid leaks out of the system from faulty hose and a *could* be a fire hazard.

I have been having an issue where I find my steering wheel harder to turn. When I am driving on a rough road, the steering wheel turns left and right on its own and I find it hard to keep it straight.

Does anyone know if this is a power sterring fluid issue? I have not checked my levels, but I will later on.

I checked my power steering fluid level and its just below the max line. Yet I still find my steering wheel very stiff and hard to turn. Anyone have any ideas?
