Picking up tomorrow..

Picking up my new car tomorrow... anything to watch out for specifically at the delivery? I already know all the possible issues to look out for but anything else someone can recommend?

Look the car over VERY carefully not only for possible scratches,
but especially any residue glue that was left over from delivery of
the vehicle.

The guys that cleaned my vehicle at the dealership really did a
lousy job on preparing it. I went into a panic a week later when it
seemed paint was chipping off the car. It was actually glue residue.

Also, be sure they activate your XM radio & NAV traffic.

Thanks,

When selecting color on the dealer's lot, I did notice that many cars had this residue on them...

I recommend that you rest your facial muscles all day today because you will be smiling all day tomorrow. Congrats and enjoy.

As for finding the sticky residue, try looking underneath each side view mirror, at the very top of the roof near the XM sharkfin, and open the trunk and run your finger along the edge where it meets the rear deck/fender.

If you find any residue in any of these areas, chances are you'll find them in other areas as well as your dealership did not do a good job in removing the goo.

Have your dealer take his/her time explaining how to use things. If possible, try to set up some of your personal options at the dealership, especially mating of the keys to each driver. Remember, the quick start and manual instructions are incorrect - I'm cant remember 100%, but it has to do with the two flashes on the key fob is reversed in the directions.

Ask to see if the TSB for the XM bug has been fixed. If not, you'll be back eventually for this fix.

Oh, Congrats!

Yes, while helping my brother (genemish1) to pick up his new baby-RL today, I've noticed lots of those spots, as well as some scratches on the B-pillar black plastic panels (passenger's side). I have to say the that particular Acura dealership did a lousy job during PDI, including installation of the backup sensors (they were upside down), filling up tank only up to 3/4 full, properly inflating tires (they were off), and removing plastic in some places. My Honda Odyssey was delivered in a better shape from a much smaller place. Oh well, that is why I was there for .
