P-R-N-D in center console lit up?

P-R-N-D in center console lit up?
Hi All!

I just had a quick question for '05+ RL owners. Is the P-R-N-D indicators in the center console supposed to be lit up at night? I know we have the indicators in the gauge cluster, so I'm thinking they are not supposed to be lit up, but I just thought I would ask.

i have an 06 and the gate column shifter does light up
