My dad has a 06 rl that i usually drive. It has gold emblems and they recently have started peeling. Seems like the clear coat is coming off. Just wondering if i can resurface them somehow or should i just order new ones?

I had the same problem- having them replaced under warranty, along with a few other cosmetic failures.

Did not hear about the black ones. What do they look like? Do you have a link. I have only seen gold?

 

i dont know of any black ones but that would be cool. do you know where you can get the standard gold ones?

 

You should see if it is under warranty. It should be part of the 4 year 50K warranty
