new strange things happening

I was wondering if anyone else has had these and what they ended up being?
Car is 2006 RL with 99,000 miles
Another reason I am asking is because I have an extended warranty - and I think I am close to the end!

about a year ago - "key not detected" flashing when I step out of the car for a minute while it is running. When I get back in, close the door and put into drive, the warning keeps flashing and won't go away until I turn the car off and then on again

about 4 months ago - no longer can voice dial from old settings. Must dial on phone and then command "transfer" to get on the bluetooth

about 3 months ago - noticed that car turns off much more quickly when I turn the key to off position

about a week ago - noticed that car seemed to struggle to start, momentarily

this week - settings for driver 1 and 2 are gone. I can re-set them but the old settings disappeared

Sounds like a weak battery. When did you last replace it? You are likely far out of the 4 year warranty period by mileage

Also, when did you last replace your key fob battery?

Note also that cell phone in same pocket (or next to) FOB will disrupt signal

Replaced the key fob battery about 6 months ago and it did not make a difference.
We are thinking the battery...
I have 120,000 mile extended warranty - just found out from the dealer. We'll have them check it out next week when we take it in for an oil change.
We have never replaced the car battery, so I am hoping that's all it is.

the car knows which driver it is by which fob is present. The fob has a small battery in it too. Sometimes the replacements are as worn out as the battery in them. Car batteries only last 3 to 4 1/2 years typically so a 2006 RL (we have oe too) is getting close to the end of the car battery life.

Try de linking and re linking both fobs. Instructions are on the back of the fob, and in the OM. That may at least help with the profiles.
