Need opinions on possible trade in deal for a RL

I was approached by my sales rep yesterday while waiting to pick up my 04 TL from the service center. He saw me looking at the RL and asked me if i was interested. I said Sure, but I don't want to spend more money really. Well to make a long story short we talked through some numbers. This is what was given to me:

Trade in Value for my TL 27,000
Pay off on my lease is 29,000
Price of RL after deduction 42,500
Total payments for me would be a 1010.00 down and 579.00 plus tax
4 years 12K

What are some opinions here. my TL is Blk/blk nav, auto, with kit and 19" Zenetti's
15k miles to date. leased it end of Dec 03.

My payments now are 547.00 a month including tax for a four year 12K lease. Drive off was all i put down.

Please let me know what I should do.

If you like the RL better than your TL, have a little money in your pocket to put down, can live with the $32 more a month and starting your lease over again...then go for it.
I love the TL and think it's one hell of a car...but the RL is the top of the food chain when it comes to comfort, luxuary and technology. Your TL is more sporty...and a touch faster. But what's important to you?

I like the TL too besides the rattles

However I will say this, upon looking back, if I was to do it over again, I would not do 19"s. Too hard of a drive.

Besides that, I like the technology the RL has over the TL, and i like the interior. the ride is very nice and the speed is sufficient enough for me.

As for the money out of pocket, It pretty much is drive off, which isn't bad. I don't believe in the whole 3000.00 dwn scenario. wasted money really unless you are able to write it off for tax purposes.

decisions decisons. Either way I have a great car now, no complaints.

Sounds like a fair deal to me. I'd go for it.

Like you, I stopped by the dealer back in February just to look at the RL. I ended up trading my 04TL for the 05RL for $17k, which I thought was a good deal. The TL had 15K miles. My wife and I love the RL, but we did the TL also.

I would take a 3 year lease though - the residual is 58% whereas the 4 year is 48% (I believe I read this in another thread - I could be wrong)

Well I think it's a go.
Here are the final numbers on the deal. They are giving mye about 28,500 on my TL as is. 19" wheels, aero kit etc.P Ay off is 29,400.00 The Cap cost of the RL went down to 41,850.

Drive off 1000.00
Monthly including tax for four years 12k at 50% residual is 579.86 including taxes. Right now I am spending 547.10 including taxes.

How does this look. If it looks good, I will sign the paperwork tomorrow.

Now debating on color choices. Black on black is my first choice but the Lakeshore/black also looks good.

What does everyone think?

I'm not very good at evaluating lease deals; however I do know there are $2500 dealer incentives on the RL and you should be able to get one at least $2000 UNDER Invoice.

Wow, great deal! I looked at the A-spec RL when I was at my dealer yesterday for service. Looks great, if I could get a great deal like that, I'd think about trading...

Thanks Bob.
I went ahead with the Papaerwork and should be able to pick her up on Tues. However the one thing that gets me is the salesman will not throw in any accessories or window tint into the deal. Not even splash gaurds.
Am I wrong in thinking like this?
