Need Help programming RL options

I just purchased a used 2006 RL and I need to know if there are certain items electronic options that need to be programmed after the battery has been disconnected? I found out by accident that my drivers side windows up down buttons did not operate the other windows until programmed. Also none of the buttons on the left side of steering wheel will operate the radio controls including the hands free phone control. Also my remote does not open the windows on the car. I need help with the ins and outs of this car as it did not come with a owners manual.
Thanks Rob

Rob,

Here are online copies of the manuals for 2006. Also you can register your RL at MyAcura.com which has feature information and user tips.

A dead battery or disconnected battery should not create the random glitches you describe. At most the NAVI PIN might need to be entered if the battery loses all power or disconnected for a period of time.

You may try to 'reboot' the RLs electronics by disconnecting again for 15 minutes. Be sure to have your NAVI code, Radio Code and NAVI PIN handy should you need to re-enter them. You should not loose your personal NAVI data, radio presets, etc. Also check your fuses.

If this does not work, you may need a dealer visit to diagnose what has gone awry.

There are some on Ebay if you have $4-5K to spare.

Otherwise...the dealer.

I just bought my 05 RL and it did not come with a manual or anything. In anticipation of needing these codes, would I have to attain them from my local Acura dealer since I do not have them?

Dead battery

similar experience. had to enter the code for the nav, and a separate code for the radio. rear windows did nnot work from the drivers buttons. Went to the rear doors and windows worked from their specific buttons and then the driver's control worked correctly. Also all VSC and ABS was disabled until restarted.
