My new 06
Bought my RL a few wks ago. It only had one fob so I bought a #1 fob on ebay without a key. Went to the dealer today to have them cut a key and program the fob. When they were done they said that the key would not stay in the fob. Looked at it carefully and saw that there was a piece of plastic broken off. Now I find since I got home, that the keyless entry does not work with this fob and that I cannot turn the ignition on with this fob! (It has new batteries) The buttons on the fob work fine.
Any ideas?

First, welcome to the RL section of AZ!
Second, the fob may need to be reprogrammed to work with your car. I'd make a return trip to the dealer. There are some instructions on the back of the key for re-linking the key to your car. Try that as well.
