Mugen Kit Question

I'm planning on getting an 2008 RL soon and have a question for anyone that owns the Mugen body kit. How much lower is the front lip on the Mugen compared to the stock lip?

I'm concerned about hitting parking lot tire stops and such.

Thanks!

Just drive defensively. It'll bond to happen. You can call up Kingmotorsport. They are the distributor for Mugen

Thanks for the replies and 037 thanks for the pics, I appreciate it. I currently drive a 02 TLS on H&R sport springs.

The lower lip is 7¾ inches from the ground and barely clears the tire stops at work and speed bumps aren’t a problem. From the pics it appears to be around the same height as my TLS but there is no way to really tell without measuring.

I really like the look the kit gives the RL and if the height is close to the same I can deal with it. However, I don’t want to sacrifice normal drivability, as well as a lot of money, for the sake of looks.

I’ve emailed Kingmotorsport with the question and I hope they have an answer. If there is someone who is driving a RL with the Mugen kit and H&R sport springs, I would appreciate your input as well.

Thanks again,

Moving to the main RL forum...and the Mugen kit is a good (though $$$$) choice.

Need input from someone driving the RL with Mugen kit and HR springs?? Good luck... Or find a translator and go to a JPN board..

BTW, you know how ridiculously expensive that is, right?

- Agreed. But it looks so good I'll re-evaluate after it's tinted, lowered and rimmed but right now, I'm only considering front aero and not the sides or the back.

Hey if you gettin Mugen more power to you! I just can't see myself spending that much cheddar on my car I'll have for 3-4 yrs and get rid of..

But I commend on thinkin of it rather than the tacked on look of Acura's A-Spec kit stuf...

I have an Amuse Bodykit. Initially I was going to get the Mugen but seem like a lot of people have it. So I opted for the the Amuse. But I did have a Mugen spoiler for a nice touch to it. TRUST me don't get the Amuse kit. My front bumper scrapped numerous time. I see why a lot of RL/Legend owner pick the Mugen kit. The front doesnt sticks out as much as the Amuse.

Mugen Rear Spoiler

ronaldfr73 - I appreciate the input. How much drop did the Mugen suspension introduce? About the same as H&R Sport Springs?

KB1Spec - Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it. For me it's going to be the Mugen or nothing and your car looks

DennisA-The answer is I don't know. Sorry. I do know that I'm two fingers all the way around. If you would like to take a look go to www.kingmotorsports.com click the aerodynamics tab and scroll down till you see a black Mugen RL.

I also notice you were from Socal. I am too and if you want to take a look we might be able to meet. Because I'm usually in the Anaheim or Buena Park area.

ronaldfr73 - Thanks for the offer. After I drop the car with the H&Rs I'd like to do a side by side height comparison. A mini-meet!
