Motor Mounts compatible with TL Type-S??

My friend is doing a timing belt job and noticed the motor mounts are completely shot front and side are pretty much done.Well he thinks the rear is probably in the same condition so now i gotta make a decision to do all 3 or just the 2.So i was reading on some other threads and someone said the TL Type-S mounts are compatible with a little mod to the side mount well i believe the front TL mount also has the vacuum lines but not sure the rear one has it.Can anyone confirm these do actually work?? Because these mount are really expensive and i kinda dont wanna go the aftermarket route so trying to save a little where i can..

Part numbers are different but parts look very similar between type s and RL as I have ordered both go to one of the acura parts sites and do your comparison as Thoi suggests

Yea thats what i ended up doing the the front TL mounts do have different part numbers but from ebay they look almost identical and even have the vacuum lines as on the RL part. The side one people here said it can work with a little modification as for the rear mount the TL one does not seem to have the vacuum lines. So i ended up buying the front and side TL mounts with the OEM RL rear mount now just gotta cross my fingers and hope everything works

Yea tell me about it..I always end up spending more when trying to save money buying cheaper parts but i read a good thread here about people using TL mounts or should i say the side mount they didnt really talk about the front mount so i just took a gamble since its the same motor we'll see how the outcome is when i get the parts..

The front and rear are the same as stated. Im going to be installing the XLR8 ones in a few weeks and will be modifying the trans mount to fit. Im tired of the sloppy OEM feel

So what was the outcome? I am in need of the passenger side motor mount on my 05 RL, I found the part for $166 at a local dealer, would rather spend less if possible.

Yea i ended up using the TL-S mounts for the front and side mount with no modification they worked great, i believe i also used the rear one from the TL also as the part number was different from ours but they looked identical just the vacuum lines were in a different angle but my mech got it in and it worked fine..

Just finished putting the TL-S passenger side motor mount on the RL. Fits perfectly, no modification. Took about 15 mins start to finish. I think I stripped one of the bolts holding the aluminum triangle piece on the top of the mount to the engine. Will have to keep an eye on that.
I will use the TL-S mounts for the others when needed.

so the stripped bolt,: I ran a tap to clean the threads and to determine depth of the threads. There is approximately 1/2 an inch more threads than the factory bolt uses, I just got a longer bolt and its all fixed - easy!

I was looking on RockAuto as well for mounts as the right side and front mounts in my 05 RL are shot. What year(s) TL-S mounts are you guys using for the right side? I can order an RL front mount as it is stocked there but I need a TL-S right side mount.

Doesn't RL's side mount has 3 bolt holes whereas TL's have 2 mounting holes?
