I noticed this phenomenon a while ago, doesn't bother much but wondering if anyone else seen it.
Car is on and in Park
Passenger leaves the car and slams the door
you get a warning message on the dash that the keyfob is missing
Strange

 

My 05RL does the same thing. Once I dropped my wife off at her work. She had the fob in her pocket and got out leaving me in the driver's seat. The message was quite handy and timely. Think about it.
